Peter Keith
My experience within the camera department began in 1999. I started as a camera trainee before spending a number of years at each level as Clapper Loader, Focus Puller and Camera Operator. I've been fortunate to work on a huge variety of productions from feature films to television drama, documentary, commercial, corporate and music videos. Constantly learning and developing from friends and colleagues.
As a cinematographer I've shot a number of commercials, corporates, shorts and documentaries. I most recently DP'd a co-Scottish/Chilean feature documentary called 'Nae Pasaran' for Debaser Films which closed the Glasgow Film Festival and won the Feature Film category at the BAFTA Scotland Awards 2018.
I began drone operating in 2013 and gained my CAA Permission for Commercial Operations in early 2014 and my USA FAA License in 2019.
I own and operate the DJI Inspire 2 with the option of the Super 35mm X7 Camera or Micro Four Thirds X5S. Being a smaller system (Sub 7KG category) it allows for easy transport, quick deployment and longer flight times. Recent aerial credits include: One Strange Rock for the National Geographic Channel. Earth’s Natural Wonders Series 2, Scotland from the Sky Series 1 and 2, A Very English Scandal for the BBC and Outlander for Starz. Feature credits include Danny Boyle's ‘T2: Trainspotting’ in 2017 and ‘Yesterday’ in 2019, Stephen Frears' Victoria and Abdul.
Based in Edinburgh, Scotland.
